1 onion, sliced
4 garlic cloves, sliced
1 red pepper, cut in stripes
1 yellow pepper, cut in stripes
250g Italian sausages, cooked
1 chicken breast, cooked
250g beef, cooked
250g pork, cooked
2 cups farofa
Fresh cilantro or fresh parsley
Optionals: corn, olives, chilli peppers, raisins and almonds.
In a big frying pan, saute the bacon, onions, garlic and peppers until all soft. Add the meat already cut and cooked in small pieces. Cook for about 2 minutes. If the meat is a little dry, add 1/4 cup white wine. Add the farofa and stir very well until is all covered with the cassava flour. Add the cilantro or parsley. Add lime juice if you would like.
Ideally this dish is made with left overs meats from barbacue, it's best served with rice, beans and salad. Some people use this dish as a side dish for meat as well. You can use any kind of meat and add other vegetables that you would like as well.
